This is what you need to do. 1- If you are running a blog, then setup Google Authorship (there are many tutorials on the net explaining this) 2- IF you are running a business, then create a Google+ page and setup Google Publisher and share all the updates there. 3- If you have a business address or running a local store, then submit yourself on Google Maps. 4- Encourage your customers to write a review about you on Google Maps. 5- Integrate Youtube account with G+ page if you are producing your own video content. 6- There are many active communities on G+, about each topic, try to share your content in those communities. The links from G+ also show up in your Google Webmasters under (http://Google.com) and that feels great.
