What is the best way to get started with learning community-centric design?
-
I'm currently a community manager interested in learning more about design principles, specifically psychology of design, design fundamentals, and UX design. Also, I should note that I'm a hands-on learner, so while online courses are okay for me, I'd prefer to do things in-person or read a book.

Answer:
IMHO one of the best books to read when you are just starting is Don't Make Me Think by Steve Krug, it really lays out the basics and you can use the principles the rest of your career. It is a short read that I have referenced many times when working with clients and design teams.
