What is the difference between chemistry and physical science?

What is the difference between Bachelor's of Science in physics, chemistry, and math and a Bachelor's of Science in physics, maths, and electronics offered at Christ Universtiy, Banglore?

  • Answer:

Apart from the obvious difference of subject combination, there is not much difference. The department of Electronics tries its best to give practical experience through workshops, projects etc. The department of Chemistry is more focused on theoretical learning, although it has tried to do its best in terms of practical experience. The Physics department sucks. Don't expect anything from them (although I won't deny their verbal goodwill towards the development of independent thinking in students). The department of Mathematics has the best teachers who try to make you real researchers (there are exceptions too). To sum it up, if you love Chemistry then go for it. Otherwise, Electronics is a better add-on that goes well with Physics. Please remember, however, both of these are pass-courses (although you might hear the word triple-majors a lot of times but they are not). You will have no honors-course or specialization project or anything of that sort. But I have a question for you. Do you hate your life so much that you want to end up ruined in Christ University doing science when there are better places to be in Bangalore? Please don't be deceived by the infrastructure.
