Obviously there are no statistics on the subject but. it depends on how you focus on the issue. Thinking about quantity and specifically, there is no doubt that the most spoken language in the world is English. I´m not to sure, but I think the second language will probably be Spanish, considering the number of countries having Spanish as their official lenguage, I presume that there is more chinese and indian -as well as other nationalities- learning English and Spanish, than any other lenguage, since both countries cover around 40% of the worlds population. I'm fairly sure in this regard
