I am currently in my 3rd year of B.Tech in Computer Science. I want to do my Master's in Business Administration(MBA) post my undergraduate study. Will taking an IELTS exam help me ? Can I add it to my resume?

Ielts is an exam which tells your English proficency. And its okay to mention your score. Its usually used to apply to foreign university beacuse they need to know your english language proficency

Proving your proficiency in English is mandatory outside India and IELTS and TOEFL are the most popular exams for that. So if you wanna go out it will definitely be helpful. But it won't do you any good within India.
