What are well-paying jobs that make a meaningful impact on climate change?
-
By "well-paying" I mean > $75K (pre-tax) in NYC in your late 20s and >$115K in your mid-30s. Can be lower for places with cost of living lower than NYC. By "meaningful impact" I mean to exclude jobs that provide warm green fuzzies whose absence would not really matter. The example I have in mind is working on corporate responsibility for a company that is not particularly energy intensive, e.g. a consulting firm (though it's possible I'm underestimating the impact in that particular example).

Answer:
Realistically, you would want to be in research and development for new "green" energy tech. Nothing else is likely to make any real difference
