Unfortuneately, there is no ONE best when it comes to CRM and it really depends. The key is to find the best for your firm and situation. All factors including the size of your company, budget, timeline, tech savvy, pc/mac, mobile, etc. all play into the selection. As we have integrated our application into 8 CRMs we have gotten exposure to many, and picked the ones we think most people use. THE KEY, regardless of which you choose is to make sure you don't make the mistake of just assuming that buying a crm will solve your problems. ALL CRMS need to be tailored, and each has a different level of effort and skillset to get it working for you. The good news is that there's usually no WRONG answer, but a nicely tailored suit provides that high end, professional look compared to folding up your sleeves and cuffs--but both cover you. The other big consideration lots of folks neglect is the future. This is because we are so focused on immediate problems...don't lose sight of where you want to be, and make sure you knownthe limitations. Will you want the software to interface with other tools you use or evolve to incorporate processes like invoicing, fulfillment, project approvals, marketing/emails/campaigns... Finally, look within your firm to see if anyone has strong preferences towards one or the other. If you have a technology partner you work with ask them which they can work with most efficiently..this could save you setup costs. Let the vendors know which other ones you are considering, so they can show you where they shine. Do a lot of firms have integrations with the CRM you select out of the box (like eloqua or marketo which u may use in the future or with your accounting software for example). CRM is very powerful and some of our clients are running their entire business on crm not just the sales and marketing...but you need to devlop a good project plan. If you have specific questions around your needs feel free to reach out. Since we dont sell CRM ourselves, i can do my best to give you my unfiltered opinion, I do believe the big guys are all good assuming you customize them correctly and use them as intended, the household names like http://salesforce.com, sugarcrm, oracle, microsoft, sap, goldmine, and netsuite, and a few others. But getting from the shortlist to your selection really needs to be a strategic decision. Get help, don't make the decision in a vacuum, and move quickly, and don't look back. Assume you will be tied to this system for at least 3 years and hopefully many, many more. Best of luck!
