What is the reason that many students are scoring high percentages in CBSE 12th board exams? What can other students do if they cannot get admissions in colleges due to high cut-offs?

Is it not demotivating them? Recently,so many students got 90+% in CBSE board exams.High percentages mean high cut-offs to get admission in colleges. We all have witnessed those high cut-offs for DU this year.Situation was somewhat similar in 2013 too.It is demotivating for students who could not score well or who score even 80+% marks.Their dreams of getting admissions in good colleges remains a dream. I believe that CBSE marks are not the good criteria to judge someone's capabilities.I am not denying the fact that those who got good marks did not work hard. When I appeared in board exams 2010,my teachers used to say that board results depend on a student's luck too.Sometimes it depends upon the checker (his mood).Even some checkers do partial checking or commit some mistakes while checking the papers. What is the reason that so many students are getting such high percentages ? What can be done to encourage those who could not get good colleges due to the high cut-offs ? Should percentage be the only criteria for admissions ?Since DU and IITs consider marks in the board exams,it is only beneficial to the board toppers. The normalization process used during JEE mains is flawed.

Answer:
The percentage is increasing day by day due huge competition. Because in our society no follows dreams and passion but everyone wants a job with (probably) highest salary!!! So if everyone wants to fit one single then there will be chaos. And why to demotivate by seeing the percentage of others? Wish them good luck and move on with your life. The most important thing in the whole world: Passing the exam and scoring in the exam doesn't need talent it needs only hard work and dedication. And why the hell we judge ourselves, our friends, our children our brothers/sisters depending on score card only? Life is far much more than percentage and degrees. Actually who have earned degrees feel that it was all worthless to try so hard for the degree which can not give you satisfaction in life. So chill dont think about others think about yourself. Search you own passion and live life with joy instead of living life with stress like most of these 90% percentage'wale' will live in future.
