What are the best books of essential business knowledge to start a company?

  • I mean practical knowledge about how to cooperate a company, how to distribute equity, rules and procedures I need to follow, laws I need to know, basically those stuff taught in business courses. Pretty theory side but also essential and practical.

    Surprisingly, there are very few books on startup operations.  After The Lean Startup, Business Model Generation, and a few good corporate bios, e.g. the Method Method,  I've found little else to point entrepreneurs to read. To fill this gap, I've started publishing a few guides.  The first covers business planning.  The second, pitching.  The third is a guide to splitting equity amongst a founding team.  More to come next year on marketing, sales, and other operational topics.
