Why does B.Tech graduates from regional colleges of India always underrated?

    It is due to lack of proper manner of teaching. Basically,the students who get into IIT's and NIT's are the said to be the real deal(or in this case the real engineering aspirants) .It is also observed in most of the students,they dont have a clear idea of what the want in life or what they want to do in life or what they are expecting from themselves.Most of the regional engineering students(I am talking about south India since I am from one) lack proper communication skills,they dont have enough confidence while communicating and also it is very well observed that most of the students end up joining only due to parental pressure or no clear idea and the only choice which is left for them to do is to go with the herd. Atlast ending up doing a BPO job at some good companies(if they have nice communication skills,probably ending up as a team leader one day) or en up doing MBA,still with no clear idea of what to do with their lives. 1. this is reality that they don,t stand in top   20000-30000  better minds of nation i the field . 2. Now , further they are not provided better facilities and teaching methods           compared to students from top notch colleges . 3. a few exceptions among them can prove themselves but majority is not very       good  hiring material for good companies and  many of them end up with no       job . 4. further if you see for research opportunities for students at IIT , NIT and other      top colleges are better so private college students are underrated and nothing    wrong in that .
