Is BSNL Landline Connection a cheating?

I live in Coimbatore, Tamilnadu. I am planning to buy a new broadband net/3G net connection (Any Network Except BSNL Landline) Can you suggest any plans pls?

  • Requirements Rate must be less than Rs1000 (600 to 900 is Good. I should get 3G speed atleast for 5GB. After 5GB i should get atleast 256Kbps!!  Any Suggestion? I tried Evdo, BSNl CDMA card. In my area, i am getting very less speed. So exclude Evdo :(

    I would highly recommend to you go for a Broadband instead of 3G. You'll never get the promised speeds on any Operator 3G plans in India. Do not go for these Operators: Airtel - the hidden charges and taxes are pretty high and the connection speed is way poor compared to its competitors. Tikona - probably the worst Internet connection you could ever get on the planet. Their connection speed is futile and you could do a small workout when a youtube video started to buffer to stream its full content. Go for Beam Broadband without a second thought if its available in your place. I'm sure you'll be pampered with its speed and price :)

Take the Airtel 3G Dongle-its has good plans for 5GB and it should be below 1000 rupees rental. It has the best customer service and strong coverage. I have also used the normal Reliance NetConnect which gives upto 3.1 MBPS in cities. I am charged around 1067 per month for 10GB. Edit 1: The plans for Reliance have changed now. They provide 40 GB at high speed for Rs.1167 per month.

U can get airtel broadband. I've recently installed tat in ma home..& they provide yu with free WiFi modem.its speed s 2Mbps.cost -1299(15 GB free) .They also 've a plan for 999(8 GB free)same speed.
