What should be my skills to get an entry level job at Intel or Nvidia?
-
basically I want a job that has anything to do with transistors

Answer:
Intel and NVidia are large companies and hire many different people. Moreover, Intel is striving to cover NVidia's product space (with lower-cost, less ambitious products), so if you are qualified for NVidia, you would normally be qualified for Intel. Relevant expertise includes Computer Architecture, Compilers and Computer Graphics algorithms. This falls under Computer Engineering and Computer Science. You need to take at least two upper-level undergraduate courses, including one that ranks as a Major Design Project. Another important specially is VLSI - chip design, studied under EE. Again, if you take an advanced project-based course and do well, then you may have a chance at Intel and NVidia.
