Which e-mail service providers support the List-Unsubscribe header?

  • The site http://www.list-unsubscribe.com hasn't been updated since 2006 - does anyone know what the state of support is for this, in particular webmail clients adding an automatic "unsubscribe" button for e-mails that include the header?

    I maintain http://list-unsubscribe.com and happy to add updates if anyone has them. The standard is still supported very strongly by all major email senders and most receivers. A List-Unsubscribe header can get you a visible button in Hotmail and Gmail. It also helps companies like http://Unsubscribe.com and http://Lashback.com to do their job.

Most providers support it and most webmails too (including Gmail and Hotmail). CritSend supports it out of the box and as far I know most other providers too. In other words, it works.

Josh Baer is definitely the man when it comes to list unsubscribe.  The only word of caution I will add to this is if you are trying to automate unsubscription using the list Unsubscribe can be tricky.  We have found that many people have not implemented the standard correctly, which makes things a bit tricky.
