I spent several years cold calling business as a business broker. Its not easy but its a numbers game. Smile and dial baby. You need to get through a ton of NO's to get to the one yes. Don't let that stop you. Here is the deal you will find greater success by referrals. I do not know what you are doing but if you know the market better than the people who you are calling they will be more open to your sales if you can resonate with them. Be UNIQUE The best source for sales training I have ever found bar none. http://www.gitomer.com he has a ton of info he gives away for free. His books are awesome as well as his seminars. Cold calling taught me more about selling and business than anything else I have ever done. Its a tough game but possible. My only caution is we are undergoing a change in the business market place we are more and more moving to a connection society. Sales is no longer about interruption its about creating communication with direction and social proof. All the best,

The point it to make sure that you have the perfect mix or calls and emails and using the tools to enables you to do so. (Most CRM's should meet your needs) always do your research on some SaaS marketpaces like: Getapp chekkt g2crowd

I would say do both if you can.Cold calling alone isn't alway a great option; it massively interrupts your prospects day and puts them straight on the defensive. I don't think that is a good way to start any relationship.Cold email is a hugely effective process. If you can carry out a system where you perhaps reach out through email, then follow up with a call and more emails then I believe you will be on the right track.Once you've figured out your system, it's time to refine. Measure what worked and what didn't, until your process is as tight as it can get.I image you'll be doing this on mass, so you'll need a good tool to track your progress so nothing falls through the cracks!Good luck.

I agree with every one , but i would like to add.... When you are sending emails, make it attractive and different. for example you can mention gift card offers for first 100 signups etc.. this will boost your campaign to an extend. Give something to get something,Unless your venture is entirely different and its a surprise for new consumer where they have better options.

Regardless of the approach you choose to follow and especially since you are selling online marketing services, you need to really investigate your potential customers first, in order to understand what they need. For communication purposes, we are using a tool dubbed https://www.veeting.com/en/ which requires zero installation and makes it easier for us to chat with clients and potential clients whenever necessary.

A good mix of both would be an effective approach to sales. I will point out that email marketing in the B2B industry has proven to be one of the best marketing tactics with one of the highest ROI (see: https://www.marketingsherpa.com/article/chart/how-marketers-perceive-roi-email-marketingand http://blog.clickback.com/index.php/why-email-matters-and-how-it-can-help-drive-leads-for-your-business/). Also, with email you can reach more of your target audience in less time รข€“ allowing you to drive more leads and boost sales. Hope that helps!

Firstly, good luck and congrats on your new venture. To answer your question: 1) Cold calling. Pro's you get an immediate answer on the phone you get to build a verbal repport with your prospect (if you're good at it) Con's you are catching people off guard neither the caller nor the prospect enjoys the experience you will have to work through some serious numbers before making a sale My personal opinion on cold calling is a negative one. That being said, it does work for some industries depending on what market and country you are selling to. As well as your own product of course. 2) Cold emailing Pro's higher conversion of sales vs. cold calling you're not interrupting people off guard like cold calling everybody involved enjoys the experience more Con's you need utter dedication and time (then again so does anything worth doing) I actually can't think of other cons for cold emailing. Going off the results from our cold emailing, and my experiences of cold calling in the past, cold emailing absolutely has the higher conversion of sales. Plus, as you start hiring sales development reps, the retention of team member will be higher than cold calling roles. Again, this is from my own personally experiences over the many years I have been in business. Tools we use: http://LinkedIn.com - for our prospecting (awesome tool) in conjunction with http://Found.ly - a truly brilliant new SaaS platform that finds our prospects email addresses

Actually both could be effective. It's just that when you're going to email your target, there's a lot of chances that your mail goes to the spam folder. Unlike with cold calling you'll get automatic response and tag the person on your list when he/she is not interested. There's more to learn about sales but what I've stated is just the comparison.
