How do you go about developing an application?

What is the best way to try a small scale testing for a minimum viable product version of a Twitter application?

  • I am developing a unique Twitter application. I am a huge believer of lean startup approach, so want to try releasing a minimum viable product and see how people react. I have designed it so that it would go viral, but before fully announcing and releasing it want to make sure that: 1. it actually has viral coefficient is larger than 1. If it's not, I will need to work to optimize it. 2. It has enough retention. Almost all the services that I've seen which were "overnight successes" seemed to have died away. For example think Wefollow, http://Threewords.me, Spymaster. What is the best way to run a test like this on Twitter?

  • Answer:

The true MVP would to just build a landing page and see if people 'get' it and sign up. If they do then signups should be easy and you can move onto the next bare minimum MVP
