Should I buy a new Porsche Cayman or Boxster?

Pretty much the exact same car, except one has a roof.  The roof adds to the rigidity and handling.  Personally, I would buy the Cayman.  I test drove aCayman  S and a base 911 Carrera back to back and I much preferred the Cayman S.  Get the Cayman, add the GT3 throttle body, re-map the chip, and I've heard it is quite the little car.

This is a simple answer: do you prefer a hardtop or a convertible car? The cars are absolutely identical in every way besides having a fixed vs. collapsible roof. FWIW, the Cayman can carry a deceptively large amount of stuff since it doesn't need to provide space for the folded-down roof, but that's the same argument as for any convertible vs. non-convertible discussion. (Yes, the new body style Cayman won't be out until next year, but let's assume same generation car)

This is one question where it’s difficult to arrive at an incorrect answer - maybe a suboptimal one, but not wrong. If you are a track junkie, the Cayman is a better choice, but the Boxster is still excellent on the track. If you like e wind in your face as you drive, the Boxster is better for you, but you will enjoy many a summer drive in the Cayman as well. You can’t lose.
