How do you set a certain font as default for each script/language in Ubuntu?
-
I wanted to set a custom Ethiopic font I got from an acquaintance as the default font for Amharic text, but not for English as I prefer the default Ubuntu or Nimbus Sans font. It uses Free Serif as the default Ethiopic font, which may be replaced by newly installed Ethiopic fonts. However, there seems to be no to accomplish this. Any help is appreciated.

More than likely you will have to update some setting in the specific program.
