How old do i have to be to work legally?

I am a year old Web developer and I want to apply for Google in future. Any pointers on what and how I should prepare provided that I give myself one year's time while I am still working? I am really ready to dive in, whatever hard work it takes.

  • Hi. I am a web developer working in a small IT services organization for a year now, I completed my Master of Computer Applications(MCA '13) from a decent college; HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript/Java and learning new APIs being my stronghold and interest. But I want to re-learn discrete maths and algorithms, data structures, OS concepts (Unix)(becoz I never took genuine interest in these subjects during the semesters), advanced Web development technologies and any other important CSc topics so that a year or two down the line I can apply for a job at Google(Always dreamed about it) and also better myself. I have decided to give 2 hours of my learning dedication /day apart from my work-life.(I am serious about my career this time) My previous educational grades are average except I fared better in my MCA. I don't know if Google would like to interview guys like me but I would like to give it a shot in future once I feel I m ready. I am not so good in algorithms and DS right now(never applied it practically). Can anyone please suggest me what I can do to sharpen my above mentioned skillset and also my CV? What should I start with? How should my work-plan go? How should I plan in tandem with my existing job? As I am getting ready, how can I attract Google's attention? What does Google look in today's developers? I know similar questions has been asked by others countless times. But considering my situation above and giving me pointers would be highly appreciated. Esp. from any Googlers here :)
