What is an average day in the life of a category manager at an online retailer?

    Varies from Category to Category though but it'll give you some idea.. - meeting marketing for all new promotions they can do for weekend/occasion(s) coming etc. - discussing ideas on Catalog correction/improvement or adding few new filters etc for the category focused. - Looking at MTD and WoW sales trends and pondering on how to meet/beat the target numbers in the remaining days of month. - Brand additions/assortment additions- discussing ideas and guiding respective teams. - generally browsing own website and competitors' sites (specially the category) to see gaps and ways to improve that....also, browsing few international sites to see trends and analyze which all things can be implemented on his site, given the tech and monetary limitations.
