How to email attachments?

How often do you combine email attachments from across emails?

  • In quite a few cases I end up making a fresh email containing a mix of attachments from multiple emails that are already existent in my inbox.  Right now in the web UI of most free email services that I'm aware of (Gmail, Y! mail), I can't move attachments virtually from one email to another without using my local disk as intermediate storage.  I think this will be a cool feature to have, so would like to know your thoughts on often do you run into the same requirement.

  • Answer:

Since you can save the attachments to Google Docs and place them all in a folder that is shared, without having to place them on your hard drive first, it seems that Google already has a solution for you. Once the documents are grouped, you can share that Docs folder with your e-mail recipients.

I'd suggest you try the extension MetisMe. It saves all your attachments in one folder from where you can forward, download, delete, or share multiple attachments as and when you want. Similar products also include Openera and Kloudless (but no clue on their functionality, since I've tried my hand only at MetisMe)
