If you want to transfer music from iPod to PC, you can rely on the “Transfer Purchases” function of iTunes. The tutorial comes as follows: Plug your iPod touch into computer via the USB cable. The iTunes will launch, if not, double click the icon on your desktop to start it. Click “File” at the upper left corner, and then click “Devices> Transfer Purchases”. iTunes may need your Apple ID to finish the transfer. Type the Apple ID in the dialog. Then iTunes will transfer all the purchased music to iTunes Library. This method only allows you to transfer purchased music from iTunes. For the music files that are not got from iTunes, you will need third-party iPod touch transfer software. via http://www.leawo.org/tutorial/how-to-transfer-music-from-ipod-touch-to-computer.html

(1)Because you are using an iOS device, you have to use a program to transfer files between your device and your PC. For many Apple users, they will choose iTunes and iCloud to easily transfer the data they need. 1. How to transfer music with iTunes? Step 1:  Download and install iTunes. Step 2: Connect iPhone  to your PC via the USB connector that came with it, and launch iTunes.  Step 3: Select your iPhone on the upper left of the screen, and click it. * It will be disabled if you have iCloud backup turned on. Please turn off iCloud backup when using iTunes.  Step 4: Click "Summary", and you can see Backups on the right half of the screen. Click "Back Up Now", and backup begins. 2. How to transfer music with iCloud? Step 1: Access  iCloud service through the Settings menu on your phone and tap on iCloud. Step 2: Verify the iCloud account is set up and that Music, Find my iPhone are turned on. * You must enable the backup option in order for this to take effect. Step 3: Scroll down and click Storage & Backup from the bottom of the interface. Step 4: Set iCloud Backup" toggle to On before selecting the Back Up Now option. Please note that all iCloud backups require a Wi-Fi   connection. You  can  back up manually whenever your iPhone is connected to the Internet  over Wi-Fi by choosing Back Up Now from Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup. (2) I chose a third party program "Syncios" as the tool of transferring my data between iOS devices and PC. It's free and amazing. You can also have a try. First download and install SynciOS on your PC. Step 1: Click Media tab on the left panel and choose the audio type from right panel, including Music, Ringtones, Podcasts, Audiobooks and Voice Memos.       Step 2: Click Music and Export. Then you can copy your songs out to your PC. http://www.syncios.com/online_help/syncios-ios-management.html#q2
