Is there a cheap train to get from Lithuania to Poland?

If Lithuania or Poland get attacked in their joint military brigade with Ukraine, will NATO's Article V be invoked?

  I think it largely depends on where Lithuania and Poland were hypothetically attacked. If they were attacked in Ukraine, it is unlikely. NATO's Article V is worded in a way that at least implies an intent to restrict Article V invocation to attacks on a respective country's homeland (or outlying territories): The Parties agree that an armed attack against one or more of them in  Europe or North America shall be considered an attack against them all.... Now, of course, an attack in Ukraine would still be "in Europe", but there is the strong implication that the alliance has wiggle room in an instance like that. And, given the reticence on display to get involved at a military level so far, you'd have to imagine they'd jump all over that little sliver of room to give themselves a way out.
