There is definitely a halflife but being Quora there is every chance the questions will suddenly reappear after everyone thought they were dead and buried. It happens because someone joins the site, trawls through the gun-control questions and answers them, or comments on other answers which reignites the debate to a certain extent. I've seen questions pop up that were asked two years ago which suddenly burst into life again like a zombie rising from it's grave.
