Which university in Germany should I apply for M.Sc (Computer Science?

What is worth more, a Msc computer science graduate from the USA from a good university vs a BE/B.Tech (4-5 years exp) graduate working in company like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, or Facebook?

  • What is more worth? a Msc Computer Science Graduate from USA from a good university vs A BE/BTech(4-5 years exp) Graduate working in company like Google,Amazon,Flipkart,Facebook. Will both have equal opportunities or Msc gives and edge.  I am working as a software engineer in a service based company and i have 3.2 years of experience. I am at a position where i have to decide whether to do Msc Computer Science from USA or prepare to get into a good company like Google,Amazon,etc..Iam already now 25 years of age.If i try to do Msc then from today after 1.9 (GRE+Admission+Visa+Other Formalities+finance )years i will be leaving to US as i am already late for the application window. If i try hard to prepare for interview for getting in above mentioned companies probably in a year i could crack it. So what will be best option Msc or the other one. Whats more the worth?

  • Answer:

I think the work that you do is more important. If you are getting better work in these companies rather than what you will do while doing M.S. then go for the job and if you think your work description is not that good then go for the higher education. If you are getting the top colleges of USA then go for them as these opportunities will come again if you graduate from there.

Other answers

If you say you are good enough to get into above mentioned companies then I suggest you go for MSc in the US. As a BTech is not enough for further salary raise and if you go to US you will a great amount of exposure and you might be able to enter into Silicon Valley. But as I said only if you're capable enough, go for it. Also if money is not a problem, then should obviously go for it!

Bsc in and experience in a larger org like Google makes sense to me as a recruiter...you can always real yourself with an MSc
