I aspire to become a civil engineer, not a common civil engineer who has passed from a very ubiquitous college but someone who has passed from collges like BITS or IIT powai.what are necessary things that I shall do? Can anyone guide me?

If you wish to be a person out of the box then you should not follow the herd. Follow your passion. I would say that the level of institution does matter to certain extent but not so much that anything below IIT or BITS will ruin your world. Remember, you are the master of your own creations. You can colour it in any pattern you want. The base thing to be a great engineer is to have passion for the subject and deep understanding. Study your basic mathematics, physics and chemistry for a deep understanding. Get to know what actually integration, differentiation means physically not just in mathematical norms. Get to know what Newton actually meant by his three laws. Learn what is a wave, vibration in detail. Learn not study. It is learning which will help you to be a remarkable person.
