If you wish for somebody to die, and it happens, should you feel guilty/responsible as a murderer?

My mother kept a boyfriend secret from both my sister and I, I found this out because she had logged into her facebook on my phone accidentally, and messages kept popping up. For months I wished for his death, and my wish came true...

Answer:
Nope. As much as you might wish to be magical and able to cause such events you aren't.

You might feel a little guilty and sad. But that's pretty okay because human beings don't always think 100% rationally. Probably feel ashamed that you actually wished the death of another human being. But you shouldn't feel responsible. Well, unless you were part of the immediate and undeniable cause to his/her death.

We have all wished for certain people to die. It's human. But it has nothing to do with whether a person actually dies. Millions wanted Hitler to die, probably the same number wanted Stalin's death. It had no effect on the tyrants' deaths. And it is natural to want your mother's secret lover dead. Or your parents or former lovers and ex-spouses. Let it go. Someone once quipped "a death wish a day keeps the psychiatrist away." Some truth to that.

U just wished... if wishing is wrong then no human can be guilt free in this world... being a human its normal to wish anything as our thoughts donot have limitations.... but we have so wishing is ok...

I had an interesting experience on this front. I did some hugely embarrassing things in my personal life a few years ago. Two very distant acquaintances were probably the only people who were aware of my actions. I never wished death on them but I thought for a while 'wish I never have to face either of them'. After a few months I forgot about the whole thing, got on with my life. I then heard both respective individuals died (one via a freak accident, one via cancer) within a few months of each other. I did not feel guilty if I'm honest since I'm not sure I have that much power, just felt a bit sorry....
