How do I convert a PDF file to PDF/A in Delphi?

How do you convert an adobe illustrator file to a pdf file without any resulting color conversion problems?

  • In Adobe Illustrator, I am trying to turn an .ai file into a PDF that has CMYK  colors with NO CMY and 100%K (for blacks). In Illustrator, I am able to change  the layer colors so that C=0%, M=0%, Y=0% and K=100%. I have checked this in  Separations Preview, and checked Overprint Preview. When I uncheck K, no CMY  colors are visible in my artboard. Then, I save my file as a PDF, (without  changing default settings), and open the file in Acrobat. When I look at the PDF  colors in Acrobat, the colors appear to have changed and a percentage of the  image is made of CMY, not just 100% K.  (I'm asking for my daughter.:-) )
