Are there any good PDAs out there that have internet access??

What are good ways to access to business application installed on the windows server remotely over the Internet?

  • An admin console for the business application (the service engineer's dispatch management) has been installed on the Windows server and is used by internal staff. Currently Remote desktop is used to access to that server. Now the business wants to put the server on the cloud so that the sub contractors can access to the web portal site. How can I still provide the admin console to those internal staff? Giving the remote desktop service to the server directly would be obviously too much permission. Many thanks for your advice in advance.

  • Answer:

How about getting several virtual PC's in your cloud solution? they could be on the same virtual LAN as the Cloud server and run the console from there.  Alternatively, create a VPN from the office to the cloud network and run the console directly on the desktop.  A third solution would be to rent a terminal server up in the cloud as well as the cloud server. Configure this to run the console and have all staff connect to this one machine.
