How do I unsubscribe to the maxis phonebook backup service?

What's the best remote backup service if you have a lot of data?

  • I have around 500GB of photographs, and need to find a remote backup service that can handle this.  I already tried Mozy, which regularly failed to run backups, and Carbonite, which severely throttles your backup to the point that my backup which started almost 12 months ago is currently still not done.  Any other recommendations?

  • Answer:

Backblaze has unlimited backup (no restriction on total volume of data, though there is a limit on individual file size) for $50/year. http://www.backblaze.com/ In my personal experience, the backups are frequent, reliable, and they have some great features like versioning: you can log in and grab a version of a file from a week ago.  The backup process is lightweight and unobtrusive. It also allows you to throttle the upload in case it is hogging bandwidth, or let it go nuts if you are on a speedy connection.

You can use Zukmo (http://www.zukmo.com) to easily backup and sync the documents, photos, notes or any files residing on your computer to the cloud and access it across devices.
