    I can only speak for my own website http://www.siripornstar.com and the network of porn star sites that my website is part of, http://www.VNAgirls.com. (VNA stands for Vette Nation Army, as the network was founded by porn star Vicky Vette). I do one hour-long webcam show each week for all of my site members, typically on Sunday afternoons. This show is a one-to-many cam show, and I usually have 50+ members in my chat room. Members do have the option to turn on their webcams and I usually have around 10 guys who will turn on their cams at some point during my show. There are 17 official VNA Girls who do cam shows weekly, and you get access to all of their sites when you join the network. VNA also partners with over 40 other (non-official VNA girls) models from around the world for live shows. So you can log into the chat room at pretty much any time of the day, any day of the week, and there will be someone doing a live show. Pretty cool. And I'd say that that alone makes membership worth the $24.95 price of admission. Shameless plug. ;) I don't do live cam shows on any other network or cam sites. Most of them have horrible split ratios, where the model keeps only 40% or less of what she's working for. For fans who want a one-on-one cam experience the only option I offer is private Skype chats. I give a small discount to fans who are loyal members of my website.

I've both been present (but not performing) for live shows and performed in a live show. From my experience, it really depends on the format of the show. Sometimes, there are private one-on-one shows where the performer(s) is/are doing a show for one person. Fortunately, this is generally indicated so the customer will ALWAYS know if they are the only one who is watching at that time and the best part about these is that customer is usually allowed to direct the performer(s). However, the majority of the time, the show is open to any paying customer. Unlike private shows, many times for these shows, the performer(s) will do their own thing, but still interact with the customers in the room.
