What's the best type of video camera?

What is the best Micro 4/3 or Bridge Camera with Video, HDR?

  • I'm looking to for a new tool in my camera arsenal for some of my aspiring hobbies. I've had a few "prosumer" cameras in the past, and plenty of compact point-and-shoots.  However, I really like the image quality I see out of DSLR's, but I'm somewhat intimidated by their size and by the complexity (of some). Interchangeable lenses are not a huge deal if the default lens is good. Is there a smaller size camera (dslr or not), that can: - do live preview (for easy point and shoot type photography) - HDR (not a must but a plus), and other shooting modes - 1080p video (720 would be acceptable with other tradeoffs). Whats the best? (Current or soon upcoming).

I dislike Sony NEX cameras, for several reasons, but NEX 6 looks promising. Among micro 4/3 Olympus E-M5 is currently the king, but a little too expensive. I prefer Olympus m4/3 cameras over Panny because they offer image stabilization with all lens and have better JPEGs. I don't use kit lens on my cameras. For m4/3 system, Panasonic 20mm f/1.7 is a must buy lens.
