Is full-fledged sex the most important thing in a relationship to keep two people together?

Regular (not casual) sex is often (not always) the reason most people get into relationships in the first place! My best friend's girlfriend of 3 years started drifting away from him emotionally by 2010. But he kept the relationship going for 2 more years after that only by way of physicality. However, she moved to another city & wasn't getting any of it from him. Soon, I learnt that he was being cheated on. When she returned to her hometown, she dumped the other guy too. She did try to reach out to the former, but he turned the other cheek. Now, she's seeing someone else from the same city. Moral of the story: Sex is the primary requirement in a relationship.

A man with simila r culture and values like yours would've respected this.  I've seen many relationships where the couple doesn't have sex but are together for years. And they marry each other happily. But they do admit that if you're not having sex then do foreplays or romantic moves. This continues the fire in the relationship.

It is not. I am guy who did not have sex with my GF when she offered herself to me. I felt that her body was not ready to do it. It was one the best decisions I ever made and even she agreed later. Two people can be in a romantic relationship without having sex. Your boyfriend just needed an object to have sex with hence he was with you. But when he found his desire is not getting fulfilled he found a new object. He did not really love you!

I have been in a relationship for 9+ years without sex and let me tell you it was my gf decision which I respected completely. Finally I found out she cheated on me with her old friend & even got married to her. Men can not always be blamed for being sex craving !!!
