What is the scope of m tech in electronics?

I am a B. Tech. 2nd year (4th sem) student of electronics and communication. I want to pursue my interest in VLSI hardware designing. What are its future scope in India, and how should I start?

  • I have a little experience in verilog HDL in xilinx software and have basic knowledge of digital electronics.

  • Answer:

well friend I appreciate your deep interest in VLSI hardware designing. I must say that in INDIA embedded have more scopes then VLSI. However VLSI have more scope then embedded in foreign countries, where ic chips and electronics plants are established. But if you are asking aboutits future scopes then I think vlsi is going to be one of the best field. It is more complex then any other fields of electronics but you can make very good amount of money....... for more information refer to IEEE website or electronics for you website, it will be more helpful for you.

Hey it is nice to see that you are interested in HDL design. Probably as you know there is no IC fabrication unit in India. However, companies like Texas Instruments, NVDIA, Broadcom, Intel, etc.. will work on core VLSI design which includes the design of complex processors and ASIC's. Also look for some hardware projects at your college which gives you a good exposure. All the best:-)
