What do the points regarding years of experience mean in this Google job description?

    I'd say it means that the job description author is not a very clear communicator.  :-)  My best guess on the distinction is: If someone was interested in an attorney (or sales) position at Google. "Relevant work experience" would be their years practicing law (or working in sales). "Industry experience" would be their years working for in the tech industry (i.e. practicing patent law or selling software/online services). Hope this helps you make sense of the job posting.

The minimum qualifications for a job are those that are at minimum needed before they will look at your resume. For example not having a Bachelors will disqualify you from most jobs that have a MINIMUM requirement of a Bachelors degree. Preferred qualifications are good to have for that job, but they are not strictly necessary. Relevant work experience means you have worked/done some work be it official or unofficial in a related industry. Industry experience is holding a similar role in a different company. General experience is doing anything tangential/related to your field of applying, programming experience is actually programming in your last job
