What skills are usually required to be a front end developer?

What qualifies one as a front-end developer?

I am trying to figure out whether I have the skills to be front-end developer or not. Here are my skills: HTML,HTML5, CSS,CSS3, Photoshop, Bootstrap,SEO Install and modify PHP Open source apps Basic SSH, Telenet Edit/modify MySQL tables through phpMyadmin Know how to integrate Javascript Libraries in HTML Knowledge of modifying PHP scripts but not code From what I've seen in job descriptions for front-end developers they look for HTML + CSS + Javascript. Now my question is how much Javascript to I need to know to qualify as a front end developer ? Im proficient in HTML,CSS but not Javascript. Thanks

Can you clone the javascript functions of say... Quora, Facebook or even Twitter? jQuery, Ajax and all that jazz. Edit: Well, if the clients applications wasn't strong in javascript - I would say yes you're ready. However, if it is a huge company like Facebook, or Twitter whom uses about 40% javascript then I would say no. Also, why haven't you learned Javascript yet? This should be your next step, open up your editing program and get to work! Loads of competition -.-
