How do I download metadata of photos which are shared under creative commons licences by other Flickr users?

I tried using the Flickr API. I am able to download the photos, but I am unable to get the metadata (tags, exif info etc). But how do I get the metadata? Anyone has any prior experience with using Flickr API?

Found a python Flickr API, which supports all the methods used in Flickr. It solved the problem: http://code.google.com/p/python-flickr-api/
