What do Computer Engineers do?

Is there a need for any more computer science engineers in India? What about other parts of the world?

  • In India, most of the engineering aspirants are interested in computer science engineering. Thus, more and more colleges are extending the class strength for computer science engineering. Thus there are just so many computer science graduates out there that now I am wondering if there are enough jobs out there to accommodate so many of these graduates. Even in my family, the number of people pursuing engineering is so high, it surprises me how all of them tend to find passion in just that one field. That's all...

Firstly, Thanks for asking me to answer this question. As long as there are computers there is a need of computer engineers. Some reasons I could think of at this point # You don't like to use windows 97 through out your life ( New OS are required) # The same applications might not work in all OS ( need compatibility / to be able to use the already used to apps like FB,Skype, Excel, power point etc) # You don't want to play the same Mario game ( need Angry birds, Subway Surfers, Candy Crush etc) # The other real easy to use applications for Banking, trading, shopping and many more things are required as long as there are computers.. So, If you ask me the computer engineers are required through out the world and very very well in India as India is the cheap and quality resource of computer engineers for rest of the world. Hope this would have given some pointer for your question.
