How to create your own slider using jQuery?

What is the best way to create an iBook bookcase-like (some call it bookshelf) display using jQuery/plugins?

I found AQGridView which allows to create an iBooks bookcase-like displays for iOS. I was hoping something is already out there which could be used similarly with jQuerry.
