Ihave offers from wipro technologies and ibm-india.which one is better to join being a fresher (non IT field) considering the present market conditions? Package is approximately same.

Don't ever consider joining Wipro. You'll find yourself working on same salary even after 3 years.

It depends on what technology u are going to work on. Sometimes IBM may be putting you in support job too. So make a right decision.

Wipro,being One of the worst MNCs......and hell lot of management issues,wont let you grow financially over the period of service. Join IBM,a much better option and better salary hikes.I work at Wipro btw,so get my point.I have friends at IBM,so knew abt both companies mentioned here.

I think both of these companies Suck. I have worked with IBM and i know how pathetic it is. But i think , its less pathetic than Wipro as far as learning is concerned. Go ahead join IBM.

I would suggest you join neither... if you are looking for a bright future in IT then join a small company. The big MNCs would ask you to follow processes (something you don't need..Right now as a fresher). You will learn much more technically if you join lets say a Start Up. On the contrary if you are planning to head for higher studies like MBA or MS and need time to prepare then join IBM which offers work from home facility, a laptop and the pressure is not much (individuals may differ based on their experiences). You will have ample time to prepare for higher studies.
