Is there any way to convert IOS app (.ipa extension) directly to Android apk format?

Not possible. It is like asking if you can change extension of file from .exe to .dmg directly :-)

No. They are programmed in different languages with different frameworks and libraries. There is no method to convert ipa into apk or vice versa.

It's simple. Rename the extension to apk. However, it will not function as you expect. (i.e) You cannot expect it to install on an Android device. EDIT: For clarification, this answer includes sarcasm as this will not convert the format, just change the extension.
