What is the google checkout?

Will Google Inc. focus more on developing Google Checkout to make it a viable payment platform?

Google Checkout currently has the smallest control over the payment processing market. The main reason for this is because Google Checkout lacks the features that other payment platforms offer and further Google Checkout has no real customer service for buyers or merchants alike. I am wondering if Google Inc. will focus more attention on this product and take more of buyers and merchants suggestions into consideration and develop the new features on a faster timeline?
