How to decide between a medical and dental degree?

Could somebody help me decide which financial career path to take? (Level 4 diploma vs Degree)

  • Hi! I’ve always been interested in banking finance; investing, advice and analysis. I decided that I would go back to school and study towards a degree in ‘Business with Finance and Accounting’ with the Open University whilst still working. I was considering going on to study my masters in London or Stockholm. Anyway, I was looking at jobs (in the UK) for when I’ve finished studying, just to see what certain job requirements were. I noticed that many of the jobs didn’t say anything about a degree in any subject but that I needed to have a 'ifs Level 4 Diploma for Financial Advisers (DipFA®)’ Which is the qualification here: http://institute.ifslearning.ac.uk/Qualifications/QualificationsinFinancialAdvice/DipFA.aspx So, my question is, would I be wasting my time spending 4-5 years getting my degree/masters only to be disadvantaged by people that had passed the aforementioned diploma that only takes 9 months? What are the pros/cons of taking the degree opposed to the diploma? Many, many thanks. Any criticisms, tips or advice would be very much appreciated.
