What are some of the best Windows Mobile devices?

What can I do to make my MIDI devices work on Windows 7?

  • I have a usb midi keyboard and a usb midi Launchpad. They worked properly on Windows XP. Now i have Windows 7 and i am experiencing problems. At first they worked but know they dont work. In the device admin my VAIO seems to recognize the devices but when i swich on my Ableton Live the midi devices appear orange colour. Like if they were disabled. There must be some conflict. I have made a fresh reboot but the problem continue. I have uninstalled the last programs i installed. I have tried creating a new Windows user and logging with this new user. I dont know what more can i do, i dont want to restore the factory settings of my VAIO...

  • Answer:

You may need the drivers for each of those MIDI devices.  Did you have a CD with either of those?  If not (or if they appear to be for XP), I'd google the name of your device with the words "windows 7 driver," and the company may have downloads available on their website.
