Will Money Magazine's new college ranking system increase interest in and applications to highly-ranked but less-well-known colleges such as Babson, the Webb Institute, and Harvey Mudd?
-
Answer:
It can't hurt to receive a favorable ranking. I would expect applications to increase in the near future, but let's not forget that these are all private universities with hefty price tags. So while incomes are high for graduating seniors, the debt that they're saddled with balances that out, in my opinion. I would have liked to have seen the State schools ranked, they are significantly more affordable and the better ones still provide affordable first-rate educations.
