My WBJEEB 2014 rank is 2859 and I am about to get construction engineering in Jadavpur University. Will it be a better option for me or to get with ECE at any state government engineering college?

I personally think that Construction engineering in JU would be better. Being a JU student I know how much brand value it carries. But if you are planning to make your future in ECE and you want to be in core sector of ECE or any other particular area then you can target for that area. Other than this as far as IT industry is a concern you can opt for JU..Its safe to be there and life at JU is awesome.
