How to do implementation and control in marketing?

How does my SAAS startup metrics compare? What advice do you have for marketing SAAS strategy / metrics?

  • Overview:  SAAS online Market Place Business Have Unique Store (http://mystorename.example.com) or their own domain to point to ours(http://example.com) By adding inventory, items are listed in central marketplace automatically Central market to drive foot traffic while ensure shops have complete control over store (look / feel/ payments/ shipping/ etc) Basic CRM  $$$ metrics Metrics CAPEX Development Cost (software development, QA, testing): 43.34k Startup Costs: SSL Certs and other things we can't pay for monthly:1.24k Operational: Monthly Costs: Hosting / Operations / Security etc: .9k Patches / Updates/ Bug Fixes: .5 k Marketing: 1k (yup that's my main problem) Revenue: ~Ten customers generate ~300 bucks a month in revenue.  Proves concept works. Other Features: Can Run additional markets / stores within the same software (multi-tenant) Not Included / Other Notes: Nothing for me or my partner until revenues increase. We decided this up front We have Day Jobs:  (him in the first niche, me in technology) Marketing Planning: I had an initial marketing plan drawn up I think it's a blue print,but I'm struggling with implementation (not my niche hard to hire help) Broke down target markets based on initial research which resulted in plans, pricing and basic marketing strategy. Need examples of marketing plan implementation for your SAAS and any metrics you might have… What other options? Channel Strategies or Affiliate? Thanks…

    You need to charge more. You can't sustain a business charging $30/mo. Average monthly revenue per user needs to be at least $50/mo and preferably closer to $100. That's obviously somewhat just my opinion, but from a decade of building products I can tell you, the $30/mo price point is quite hard to build a business around. If your current product isn't worth more than $30/mo then make it worth more.
