What is the development of your career?

What are the career options and prospects for an MA in International Development and Public Policy, particularly from the University of Manchester?

• I have recieved many offers from different universities in the UK. How would you judge the University of Manchester in comparison to UEA, University of Glasgow, University of Bath or University of Sheffield? And what about the career prospects for someone doing an MA in International Development, Public Policy & Management from the University of Manchester? Please also tell me the job scope for an MA in International Development, Globalization & Development from the University of Manchester.

  The way I judged when selecting my university was first by the research rating  assessment exercise and then by the facilities - I think this link gives your subject area: http://www.rae.ac.uk/results/qualityProfile.aspx?id=39&type=uoa I can't really comment on job prospects, but the world is getting smaller, so International Development should theoretically be a growing field - that said in a recession it is also a likely target for budget cuts...  At the end of the day you can either follow the money or follow your heart.  I believe it's more important to do something that you love & believe in - but sometimes personal fulfillment requires personal investment / reduced income potential.
