Does the use of a BY-NC-SA photo in a blog post mean that the blog post should also use the same license (due to ShareAlike)?
-
Is the blog post using a photo considered a derivative work of a photo and, thus, does the ShareAlike clause require the blog post to be made available using the same license as the photo? Or does it only apply to the photo used which should, per license, be attributed to its creator and have a license information attached to it?

Answer:
Strictly speaking it probably is considered a derivative work, although I haven't heard of this being tested. A strict interpretation of the NC clause would also mean you can't use the image on a blog which runs advertisements.
