What are some house hold tools you could use to learn how to pick a lock, and how hard would it be to master that skill set?

    Basic tumbler locks could be overcome using the metal clip on a ballpoint pen as a torsion bar and a paperclip as the actual pick.  But you will be there for a while. It is much easier to get a gun or a real pick set and practice with those.  They are unrestricted in most US states, as far as I know, and can be bought online or at "spy shops".  Keep in mind, though, that if you use them for illegal activities it may be the difference between theft and burglary and if you charge someone for locksmith services without being licensed you can be subject to heavy fines.
