Where to Hire Cheap and Good Programmer?

Where do you find/hire a programmer/software engineer for a 6 month contract to work remotely?

  • I am not looking for the e-lance/Indian outsourced type of programmer as I've had bad experience with them. Looking for someone with prior solid experience being a web developer.

  • Answer:

I agree that the quality of coders on elance from india is appalling: a complete waste of time and money   I would ping stack exchange top contributors from Eastern Europe.   Or engage a contracting recruitment agency in Eastern Europe to find someone for you.
